Class Goals: In this pilot class we will adapt a classic Frank Lloyd Wright table design to solid wood construction. By the end of the class you will have a complete heirloom quality table.  This is 4 session class.

Class Description: The architect Frank Lloyd Wright was well known for not only his building designs, but also the furniture in them. These pieces were often built on site by the carpenters and from the same building materials as the buildings themselves. This table, originally made from plywood, is a good example of his bold geometric shapes and clean lines and fits styles from Craftsman to Mid-Century modern.

If you are interested in a shorter version (coffee table?), please let us know that when you register.

In this class we will adapt the design to use solid mahogany construction,  floating tenon, Domino and pocket screw construction to allow for wood movement. The construction will allow for a breakdown of the table OR if you prefer, the Guild will provide free delivery for the Portland metro area.
