Woodworking School

The Guild of Oregon Woodworkers offers a series of courses to help you learn the craft of woodworking. These informal courses are designed to provide a rudimentary instruction into woodworking and will give you some basics needed to take more structured hands-on classes.

Each course is taught be qualified woodworkers who have years of woodworking and teaching experience. From here you can go on to more advanced courses either through the Guild, Northwest Woodworking Studio, Portland Community College or the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts

The Guild is offering these courses as a result of the demise in vocational school programs. It is up to outside organizations to take on this responsibility. We feel it is in the best interest of the "Art of Woodworking" that we take up that call.

If you are interested in introductory woodworking courses or one of the specific courses listed on this page please fill out the application and send to the address listed. You will then be contacted confirming your seat or when new courses are planned.
